Well, normally I don't take what the meteorologist says in Oklahoma as the gospel, but perhaps from now on I should at least heed his warnings. We got hit hard Monday night! The weather man was predicting 9-13 inches of snow and I thought "yea, right, we'll be lucky to get 5!" I felt sort of stupid for asking Harrington to stop on his way home from work at Reasor's and pick up a gallon of milk and a loaf of bread (we were completely out of both and snow or no snow we needed those two things). He called from the store and said they were sold out of milk, ALL milk and even sold out of all the bread...he said it looked like a war-zone. He did manage to find the small 8-ounce bottles of whole milk and bought 6 of those but no bread.
Last night I could hear the sleet coming down and every once in a while some thunder. So I knew it was coming....something was coming at least.
And this morning....wow!....we have snow as high as 4 feet in some areas! We got 21" of snow!!! How is that even possible!?
Here's a picture of the front door (the door is opened and this is our glass storm door:

The backyard is worse....the snow drifts come up to my shoulders in places!
The girls are so light in weight that they didn't even sink through the snow but crawled over the top of it....it was cute.

So I'm not sure how long this is going to take to melt but I have a feeling it's going to be quite a long time and we're suppose to get more on Monday again. I think we're stuck in the house for a good week....hoping we have enough food!! LOL
